Title: Analyst - Restructuring

About the Client
Our client, a well-established bank in Qatar, is seeking an Analyst - Restructuring to join its Asset Recovery function. You will be the analytical engine behind the bank's restructuring cases, supporting how distressed and early-stress financing is assessed, structured, executed, and tracked. Your analysis, case papers, and portfolio data will help protect asset value, improve recoveries, and limit credit losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Review distressed accounts in depth, covering financial performance, cash flow, debt-servicing capacity, business viability, and collateral
- Build financial models, projections, and restructuring scenarios to test different outcomes
- Draft case summaries, credit write-ups, and initial restructuring proposals
- Gather and verify information on customers, facilities, collateral, legal standing, valuations, and financials
- Help shape restructuring terms and repayment plans, and support the Manager in customer negotiations
- Coordinate documentation, credit approvals, conditions precedent, and key milestones
- Track restructured accounts against agreed repayments, covenants, performance, and milestones
- Keep case files, portfolio data, and audit trails up to date, and produce regular and ad hoc reports
Key Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a similar discipline
- 5+ years in banking across credit analysis, credit risk, restructuring, remedial, or recovery roles
- Solid experience in financial statement analysis, cash-flow assessment, and writing credit papers
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis skills
- Good understanding of banking facilities, collateral, covenants, and restructuring and recovery principles
- Highly numerate and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and report-writing skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Discreet with confidential information, and able to work across multiple stakeholders
