We're looking for an AI Engineer to join our Malmö consulting team. You'll be part of a small, ambitious group working on applications end-to-end, from frontend, backend, pipelines and model development to deployment in cloud environments.
Most of what we build integrates AI technologies in some way, whether that's embedding machine learning models, leveraging large language models, or building systems around state-of-the-art AI tools.
This is a great role if you want to grow your skills across the stack while working hands-on with modern tech in real production environments.
ResponsibilitiesYour work would include:
- Work as a consultant on client assignments, often embedded in the client's team
- Translate client needs into concrete AI system requirements
- Design and build agentic systems: tool use, retrieval (RAG), MCP integrations and multi-step workflows
- Fine-tune, adapt and evaluate LLMs and other foundation models, and train custom models when needed
- Build eval suites and observability so model quality is measured, not guessed
- Take models to production: APIs, deployment, and optimization of inference cost and latency
- Design data pipelines for training, inference and monitoring
- Use agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to ship faster, while owning quality, tests and review
- Work closely with clients and internal teams, and share what you learn
Background and SkillsHere's what we're looking for in an ideal candidate:
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks
- Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications, ideally agents, RAG or tool-calling systems
- Proficiency with agentic coding workflows: breaking work down for agents, reviewing their output critically, and setting up repos, tests and context so agents do their best work
- Experience evaluating LLM systems: designing evals, spotting failure modes and iterating based on data
- Solid software engineering: version control, testing, CI/CD, code review
- Comfort in cloud environments (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- MSc in a quantitative field (e.g. computer science, engineering physics, mathematics or statistics) and at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Professional proficiency in Swedish and English
