Role Description The Acute Clinical Nurse Specialist – Neuro is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Jacksonville, NC Area. This role provides advanced clinical expertise and leadership for neuro patients in acute care settings, serving as a resource for nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing complex neuro patient needs, supporting care planning, and guiding implementation of evidence-based interventions at the bedside. The Clinical Nurse Specialist develops and revises clinical protocols, educates staff through in-services and one-on-one coaching, and participates in competency validation, and ongoing professional development for neuro nurses. The role also involves monitoring quality metrics, leading performance improvement projects, collaborating on patient safety initiatives, and engaging with patients and families to support understanding of neuro conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations.
