Key ResponsibilitiesPosition SummaryThe Accounting & Tax Senior Executive is responsible for managing and reviewing accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, accounts payable, and regulatory support services for a portfolio of clients. The role requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to independently handle complex client matters while ensuring compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and TMF quality standards. The Senior Executive is also expected to support junior team members, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to process improvement and client service excellence. Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- * Manage and review monthly bookkeeping activities in accordance with local GAAP and applicable client reporting requirements.
- Review and validate financial transactions, including AR, AP, payments, receipts, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial reports and reporting packages, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Trial Balance, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, and client-specific management reports.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial reports in line with agreed service levels and internal quality standards.
- Lead coordination with auditors and support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and audit requirements.
Tax Compliance
- * Review and Lead the submission of the recurring tax filings, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, salary tax, stamp tax, and other applicable tax declarations.
- Review tax computations and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax laws and deadlines.
- Guide on the required tax registrations and regulatory reporting requirements and other statutory submissions as applicable.
- Monitor filing deadlines, coordinate tax payments, and maintain proper evidence of submissions and settlements.
- Lead any tax inspections, tax audits, and authority inquiries for the clients to ensure preparing required reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation and handle all communications with the tax inspectors.
Accounts Payable, Cash Management & Controls
- * Lead the process of reviewing supplier invoices and payment requests, and ensure approval workflows to ensure compliance with client policies and local requirements.
- Oversee payment processing through client banking platforms and maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
- Review bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and payment records to identify and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
- Strengthen internal controls over payment cycles, cash management, and client authorization procedures.
Client Service, Advisory & Stakeholder Management
- * Act as a key point of contact for assigned clients on accounting and tax computation and regulatory requirements.
- Provide practical guidance to clients on local accounting and tax compliance requirements, escalating complex matters where required.
- Maintain strong client relationships by ensuring timely responses, proactive follow-up, and clear communication of risks, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, legal advisors, banks, tax authorities, and external consultants to support client deliverables.
- Keep clients and internal stakeholders informed of relevant regulatory, tax, and compliance updates.
- Serve as an effective technical point of contact for escalations and client dissatisfaction matters.
Team Support & Process Improvement
- * Review work prepared by junior team members and provide technical guidance, coaching, and feedback as needed.
- Support workload planning, task prioritization, and monitoring of deliverables for assigned clients.
- Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and contribute to standardization of accounting, tax, and reporting procedures.

Key Requirements
- * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and client service.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory filing requirements, and regulatory compliance procedures.
- Deep understanding of VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, payroll tax, e-invoicing, and tax inspection procedures.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience in professional services, outsourcing, or multinational environments is preferred.
- Professional certification or progress toward certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
