Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join Jouza3tivity, a YouTube channel being created from scratch, focusing on business advice, productivity, book summaries, Notion tutorials, and documenting the journey of building the channel while managing an existing business. The editor will be responsible for editing 1-2 videos per week initially, with the potential to grow as the channel expands. The ideal candidate should have a strong creative vision, be able to handle the editing process from start to finish, and bring their own unique ideas to the table.
Responsibilities:
- Edit 1-2 videos per week (6-12 minutes to start, possibly reaching 15-30 minutes over time).
- Manage all aspects of video editing, from raw footage to final polished content (including trimming, transitions, audio adjustments, etc.).
- Ensure videos align with the specific style for each channel:
1. Book Explanations: Storytelling style with clear explanations.
2. Business & Productivity: Motivational and inspiring content.
3. Notion Tutorials: Instructional and engaging.
4. Journal: Casual vlog-style with minimal editing.
- Help create branding elements (intro, outro) and improve them over time as the channel evolves.
- Occasionally create thumbnails using tools like Canva or similar software.
- Provide creative input to enhance the overall style and tone of the videos.
- Collaborate via Google Drive, Discord, Notion, and Zoom when needed for easy communication and sharing of assets.
- Be open to feedback and revisions, ensuring a smooth workflow and meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Arabic (spoken and written) with good English skills.
- Proven experience in video editing with a portfolio of similar work (preferably for YouTube content).
- Creative and self-motivated with the ability to manage the entire editing process.
- Familiar with video editing software of your choice (as long as it delivers high-quality results).
- Ability to work independently, with flexibility to adjust timelines as needed.
- Bonus: Experience with creating thumbnails (Canva or other tools).
- Willingness to join a growing channel and take ownership of the creative direction, with a potential for salary increases based on performance and quality.
