Role Objectives
The Warehouse Keeper is responsible for the efficient and organized storage, handling, and movement of goods within the warehouse. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the proper maintenance of inventory and a well-organized storage facility.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods and ensure inventory levels are up to date.
- Conduct regular audits, and cycle counts, and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Safely store and organize goods within the warehouse, utilizing appropriate storage methods.
- Ensure goods are properly labelled, categorized, and accessible for quick retrieval.
- Conduct visual inspections of goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Report any damaged or defective items to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Adhere to safety protocols and compliance with all relevant warehouse regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare shipping and receiving documentation as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a warehouse keeper or in a related role is preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and material handling tools.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in a team.
- Good communication skills.
