Medi Drug International (MDI) SAL., a leader in Pharmaceutical and Consumer Products distribution in the Lebanese Market is looking to hire an experienced Sales Supervisor to help us keep growing.
General Description
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in daily activities, supervising the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.
The Sales Supervisor conducts regular double visits with sales team members to mentor and monitor performance, provides training and guidance, and assists in executing sales strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
· Lead, motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.
· Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
· Conduct regular team meetings to communicate priorities, performance updates, and company initiatives.
· Manage attendance, discipline, and employee conduct in accordance with company policies.
· Promote employee engagement and maintain high team morale.
2. Coaching & Performance Development
· Provide continuous coaching through regular field visits and one-on-one sessions for all team members.
· Identify training needs and develop individual improvement plans.
· Observe sales calls and provide constructive feedback to improve selling techniques.
· Monitor individual KPIs and implement corrective actions when performance falls below expectations.
· Support onboarding and mentoring new sales representatives.
3. Field Sales Responsibilities
· Accompany sales representatives on customer visits to evaluate field performance.
· Ensure adherence to daily routing plans and call schedules.
· Monitor the quality and effectiveness of customer interactions.
· Assist representatives in managing key accounts and resolving customer issues.
· Identify new business opportunities and areas for market expansion.
· Ensure proper execution of promotional campaigns and merchandising activities.
4. Sales Planning & Execution
· Translate company sales objectives into actionable team plans.
· Allocate territories and customer responsibilities effectively.
· Monitor sales targets and implement action plans to close performance gaps.
· Support the launch of new products and promotional initiatives.
· Ensure optimal product coverage across assigned territories.
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
· Track sales performance using established KPIs and dashboards.
· Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
· Analyze sales trends, market performance, and competitor activities.
· Prepare management reports with recommendations for improvement.
· Monitor territory coverage, productivity, and customer reach.
6. Customer Relationship Management
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
· Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
· Ensure high standards of customer service throughout the sales team.
· Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Administrative Responsibilities
· Approve and monitor sales representatives' schedules, leave requests, and field activities.
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of CRM entries, call reports, and expense reports.
· Maintain up-to-date customer databases and sales records.
· Ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
8. Market Intelligence
· Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotional activities, and market developments.
· Gather field intelligence regarding customer needs and market trends.
· Share actionable market insights with management and the marketing team.
· Recommend strategies to improve market share and competitive positioning.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Coordinate with Sales and Marketing managers to execute promotional campaigns and product launches.
· Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure product availability and monitor expiries.
· Collaborate with Finance regarding collections and outstanding receivables.
· Support HR in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of sales personnel.
10. Compliance & Quality
· Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
· Promote compliance with pharmacovigilance, promotional, and quality guidelines where applicable.
· Ensure all sales activities are conducted professionally and ethically.
· Report compliance concerns or field issues promptly to the HR and management.

Knowledge and Experience
• 2 to 4 years of proven work experience in the pharma field in sales and/or marketing.
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
• Sales and marketing knowledge of the pharma industry.
• Good knowledge of the working area.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong business sense and industry expertise.
• Ability to deal with people who hold differing beliefs or values in an outgoing and persuasive manner.
• Ability to work in a flexible environment, work under pressure, and adapt to changes quickly.
