DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Specialist with previous Epic experience and background in diagnostic, interventional, or peripheral cath procedures.
Details
- * Special Procedures unit within a cardiac catheterization lab
- 4x10 day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- May be placed on standby if census drops
- One call weekend per month required
- No holiday coverage required
Requirements
- * Previous experience as a Cardiac Cath Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialist, Diagnostic Cath Specialist, Interventional Cath Specialist, or Peripheral Diagnostic/Interventional Specialist required
- Previous Epic EMR experience required
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, accredited nursing program, or completion of a cardiac catheterization training course required, with transcripts
- ARRT certification or RCIS certification through CCI required, license required if applicable
- Experience with diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral procedures
- Proficiency with cardiac cath lab equipment including IVUS, Combo Map, ICE, HeartLab, and Witt systems
- Experience with Apollo reporting and CQI documentation
- Strong sterile technique and patient care skills
Additional Information
- * Assist physicians with acquiring digital radiographic images of the heart, peripheral vessels, and other structures
- Control radiographic equipment and set x-ray acquisition parameters to produce quality images
- Practice radiation safety using distance and appropriate protective attire
- Perform daily room preparation, equipment QCs, and supply/inventory management
- Document patient data, charges, and procedure information across multiple systems
- Prepare sterile scrub tables and assist with pre-, during, and post-procedure patient care
- Prepare lines and devices for injectable fluids and insert IVs under physician supervision
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiac catheterization lab equipment
- May perform lead responsibilities including training and work assignment for other staff
