Job Purpose:
The Senior Tendering & Procurement Engineer will manage tendering and procurement activities for construction and interior projects, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, timely delivery, and compliance with project requirements and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete tendering and procurement cycle, from RFQs and supplier sourcing through evaluation, negotiation, and purchase orders.
- Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, drawings, and project requirements to ensure accurate procurement.
- Source, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
- Prepare and analyze technical and commercial comparison sheets and provide recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions to achieve competitive value.
- Monitor market prices, supplier performance, and material availability to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sources.
- Follow up on purchase orders, material deliveries, and outstanding requirements to ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate closely with Technical Office, Projects, Site, Production, Finance, QA/QC, and Logistics teams.
- Maintain accurate RFQs, quotations, comparison sheets, purchase orders, supplier records, and procurement reports.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, project requirements, quality standards, and approved budgets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering – Mandatory.
- 5–9 years of relevant experience in tendering or procurement within construction, contracting, fit-out, or interior projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, subcontractors, and market pricing.
- Proven experience in RFQs, BOQs, quotation analysis, commercial negotiations, and procurement.
- Very good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and follow-up skills.
