Position OverviewWe are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese to work remotely and support our international supply chain operations. In this role, you will be the day-to-day bridge between our US headquarters and manufacturing partners across Asia—managing vendor RFQs, monitoring production milestones, communicating technical requirements, and securing competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation: Research, contact, and vet potential manufacturing partners across China and Asia for precision components, castings, machining, and custom hardware. * RFQ Management & Price Negotiation: Collect and analyze quotes, negotiate component and tooling pricing, and prepare competitive cost comparisons for US management. * Bilingual Factory Coordination: Conduct daily operational, technical, and commercial communications in Mandarin Chinese with factory managers, engineers, and sales reps; report updates in English to US leadership. * Production Tracking & Lead Times: Monitor manufacturing schedules, track production milestones, and proactively resolve delays to ensure timely dispatches. * Quality & Spec Communication:* Relay engineering drawings, tolerance requirements, and quality control guidelines directly to factory production teams.
Qualifications Language Fluency: Professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. * Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management within manufacturing, metal fabrication, industrial hardware, or international trade. * Technical Understanding: Basic ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, product specifications, and bill of materials (BOM). * Communication & Remote Setup: Self-motivated, highly organized, and equipped with a reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, and dedicated remote workspace. * Software Skills:* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and common communication tools (WeChat, Zoom, email).
