Build what’s next for Foxway’s digital platforms.
Foxway is one of Europe’s leading circular technology companies. We help organisations manage technology in a smarter and more sustainable way – giving devices longer lives while creating both business and environmental value.
Technology is a big part of making that possible. Now, we’re strengthening our internal development capability and looking for a Senior Platform Developer to help us take the next step.
About the Role:
You’ll join at an important point in the development of the Foxway Digital Platform (FDP) – one of our key customer-facing platforms.
We’re moving towards stronger internal ownership of our platforms and development capability. That means bringing more technical knowledge, continuing to build new capabilities and creating a development setup that can scale with us.
This is a hands-on senior development role. You’ll spend a significant part of your time building and solving technical problems, while also taking ownership of more complex work, supporting technical decisions and helping less experienced developers grow.
In short: we’re looking for someone who still loves to code, but can also help others figure out how to move things forward.
What you will do:
- Develop and improve FDP and connected platform capabilities.
- Take ownership of complex development tasks, investigations and technical problem-solving.
- Help drive new development and capabilities across our customer-facing platforms.
- Review development work and contribute to stable, high-quality releases.
- Support planning, estimation and technical breakdown of development work.
- Work closely with internal teams and external development partners.
- Help bring technical knowledge and ownership from external partners into Foxway.
- Build practical development routines, documentation and ways of working.
- Guide and support junior developers as our internal team grows.
- Explore how modern development practices and AI can help us build smarter and faster.
The role can be based from our offices in Sweden offices such as in Solna, Göteborg, Växjö, or in Tartu, Estonia with a strong focus on in-person collaboration of 4 days in the office per week.
We believe you have:
- Around 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong recent hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience working with technologies such as React, NestJS, Next.js and Tailwind.
- A strong backend development foundation.
- Experience working with applications or platforms in a development landscape with multiple systems and dependencies.
- The ability to independently take development work from problem to working solution.
- Experience working with structured development, releases and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Professional fluency in English, both speaking and writing.
Meritorious
- Fluency in AI and/or modern development tools.
- Experience from Microsoft/.NET environments, broader full-stack development, mentoring other developers or working with AI-supported development tools is a plus.
- Swedish is also an advantage, particularly as some of our platforms interact closely with Swedish customers, but it is not a requirement.
To succeed in this role
You enjoy building things and figuring things out. You’re senior enough to take ownership without needing every step defined for you, but still hands-on enough to jump into the code and get things done.
You bring a pragmatic, positive approach to technical challenges and are comfortable working in an environment that is evolving. You share knowledge naturally, collaborate well with different kinds of people and enjoy helping create structure where it is needed.
You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room. What matters is that you’re curious, constructive and ready to move things forward.
Why Join Foxway?
