Arab Finance House s.a.l. (Islamic Bank) is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented, and analytical Senior Internal Auditor to join our team.
üîπ Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audit assignments at bank branches and Head Office departments in accordance with the approved audit plan.
- Review the effectiveness of internal controls, operational procedures, and compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Assess compliance with applicable banking regulations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Examine financial and operational records to identify errors, irregularities, control weaknesses, and potential risks.
- Evaluate the adequacy of risk management practices and the effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure that identified deficiencies are properly addressed.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of transactions, supporting documentation, and operational records.
- Maintain proper audit documentation and working papers to support audit findings and conclusions.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and branch personnel during audit assignments and follow-up activities.
- Report significant findings and control deficiencies to the Head of Internal Audit.
üîπ Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant internal audit experience within the banking sector only.
- Proven experience in conducting audits of both bank branches and Head Office departments.
- Good knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, and audit methodologies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
