*Role Description The Civil Engineer role at Teamwork Contracting is a full-time, on-site position based in Beirut. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications for infrastructure and construction projects. Daily tasks include conducting site visits, coordinating with project managers and construction teams, monitoring work progress, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations. The role involves planning and analyzing project requirements, performing calculations, and supporting stormwater management and drainage solutions. The Civil Engineer will also collaborate with stakeholders, prepare reports, and assist in resolving technical issues that arise during project execution.
*Qualifications
Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to develop, review, and optimize structural and infrastructure plans.
* Experience working as part of a team of Civil Engineers, demonstrating effective collaboration and coordination on multi-disciplinary projects.
* Skills in Planning, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of site activities.
* Knowledge of Stormwater Management principles, including drainage design, flood mitigation, and environmental compliance.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
* Proficiency with relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design and modeling tools).
* Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and international engineering standards.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and quality.
* Ability to work on-site in Beirut, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Previous experience in construction or infrastructure projects is preferred; professional certification or registration is an advantage.*
