Role Description This full-time Senior Electrical Engineer role is based in Cairo, Egypt and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for new and existing projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations; reviewing and validating designs prepared by junior engineers; and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, supervising installations and testing, troubleshooting system issues, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also support project planning, participate in design reviews, and provide technical guidance to stakeholders to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective power solutions.
Qualifications
* Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core principles to complex projects.
* Proficiency in Electrical Design, including creating detailed schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
* Experience with Power Systems, including analysis, protection, and reliability of electrical networks.
* Knowledge of Power Distribution systems and equipment, including planning, operation, and maintenance.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
* Several years of experience in electrical engineering roles, preferably in power or utility sectors.
* Familiarity with relevant international and local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Ability to use electrical design and simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
