Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Asyūţ, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts. The Senior Accountant will manage month-end and year-end close processes, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and support internal and external audits. Additional responsibilities include monitoring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, preparing financial statements and management reports, and providing guidance to junior accounting team members. The role also involves collaborating with other departments to analyze financial data, support business decisions, and improve internal financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- * Strong proficiency in general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for management and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of applicable accounting standards and regulations (such as IFRS or GAAP) and experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
- Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems; ability to analyze large data sets and produce clear financial insights.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial colleagues and support cross-functional projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibilities at a senior or lead level.
