Role Description The Director role at AVAS Capital Group Investing is a full-time, on-site position based in the Colombo District. The Director will oversee investment strategy development, portfolio performance, and risk management, ensuring alignment with the firm’s long-term, risk-averse objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading market research and analysis, reviewing investment opportunities, and making informed recommendations on asset allocation. The Director will also manage key stakeholder relationships, support investor communications, and collaborate with leadership to refine operational processes and growth plans. This role involves mentoring team members, setting performance targets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards.
Qualifications
- Strong investment management skills, including portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and risk assessment.
- Experience in financial analysis, market research, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams, setting goals, and driving execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Background in finance, economics, business, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in start-up or growth-stage environments, with the ability to build processes and structures from the ground up.

- Ability to work on-site in Colombo District and collaborate across time zones with teams in Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN.
