Role Description The Registered Nurse at Azhar Hospital is responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. Daily tasks include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. The nurse educates patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion, while adhering to infection control and safety protocols. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Muscat, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. The position also involves participating in quality improvement activities and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess a valid nursing qualification (Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing) and current registration/licensure with the relevant nursing regulatory authority.
* Candidates should possess clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs in hospital settings.
* Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Candidates should possess abilities in documentation, electronic health record usage, and maintaining accurate and timely nursing records.
* Candidates should possess knowledge of infection control, patient safety practices, and hospital policies and procedures.
* Candidates should possess skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritizing care in fast-paced clinical environments.
* Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in hospital or acute care settings is highly beneficial; experience in specialized units (e.g., medical-surgical, ICU, emergency) is a plus.
