Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Qatar. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), support tendering activities, and assist in evaluating contractor and supplier quotations. Daily responsibilities include tracking project costs, preparing interim valuations, monitoring budget performance, and updating cost reports for management and clients. The role involves coordinating with site teams, engineers, and procurement to ensure accurate cost planning, variation analysis, and final account preparation. The Quantity Surveyor will also support compliance with contractual terms and contribute to value engineering and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- * Cost Control and Cost Management skills to monitor budgets, manage expenditures, and support value engineering.
- Cost Planning and Cost Reporting skills to prepare forecasts, cash flows, and periodic financial reports.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, measurement, and quantity take-off to support tendering and contract administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in construction or contracting environments, preferably within Qatar or the GCC region.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and Excel skills, with familiarity in QS or cost management software.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Knowledge of standard forms of contract, local construction regulations, and industry best practices.
