About Magma MathMagma is one of the world’s fastest-growing and most celebrated edtech companies, transforming math education through the power of AI. Our platform turns handwritten solutions into digital insights, empowering teachers to focus on creativity and deeper learning — while giving them real-time visibility into student progress.
The result? More inclusive, engaging, and effective math classrooms for all learners.
But we’re not just building better tools. We’re tackling one of the biggest challenges in global education: math underperformance. With 1 in 5 students globally struggling in math — a subject that forms the backbone of so many career paths — we believe the opportunity to improve outcomes at scale is massive.
We’re already the go-to solution in thousands of schools — and we’re just getting started. As we expand rapidly across the U.S. and Europe, we’re building a team as ambitious as our mission: to help millions of students unlock their full potential in math.
The RoleThe Product & Tech team at Magma is divided into three core experiences: Teacher, Student, and District. We're looking for a Product Designer to join our teacher experience team in Stockholm.
In this role, your designs will quickly move from concept to reality. You’ll sketch, prototype, and refine solutions that are shipped into classrooms and districts across the world, where they’re put to use right away. That means you’ll get to see the impact of your work almost immediately - and improve it through real feedback.
You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and users to make sure every design is both functional and valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design of the teacher platform.
- Turn problems into clear, user-friendly designs — whether they come from a PM, a teacher, or your own head.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and engineers.
- Engage with users to ground designs in real needs.
- Create user flows, wireframes and hi-fi designs in Figma.
- Follow your work after launch: see how it's actually used, and iterate.
- Improve how we work, not just what we ship; our design system, our process, whatever's slowing us down.
Who You Are
- Background in product design (academic or equivalent work experience).
- Someone who enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions.
- Curious and eager to learn, with a growth mindset.
- Driven and self-starting. Owns projects end-to-end, and turns their own ideas for how things could be better into initiatives that ship.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment, where features are released regularly and improved over time.
- Flexible with conventional design rules. Our users aren't especially tech-savvy, and the same interface has to work on a small laptop and projected to a whole class, so the usual playbook doesn't always apply.
- Obsessed with both pixel perfection and the big picture.
- Experienced working with design systems, ideally having helped build and develop one.
What We Offer
- * Regular visits to schools to see the product in action.
- A role in a growing product team where your work will have a visible impact.
- Fantastic colleagues in a fun environment with great opportunities to learn.
- An opportunity to work on a meaningful mission and have an exceptional impact on education, society, and how children learn math across the world.
- Competitive compensation & benefit package
