Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Engineer role based in Qesm El Sheikh Zaid. The Procurement Engineer will manage the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services required for architecture, engineering, and construction projects. Daily responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing Requests for Quotation (RFQs), negotiating prices and terms, and processing purchase orders in line with project specifications and budgets. The role involves close coordination with design, engineering, and site teams to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to project schedules. The Procurement Engineer will also monitor supplier performance, maintain accurate procurement records, and support continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications
- * Strong supplier management capabilities, including Supplier Evaluation and vendor relationship management.
- Proficiency in procurement operations, including preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and processing Purchase Orders.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for cost comparison, market research, and data-driven decision-making.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, architectural, mechanical, or related field) or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in procurement within architecture, engineering, or construction environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with contract terms, basic commercial law, and negotiation techniques.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement or ERP systems; knowledge of local and regional supply markets is an advantage.
