Gothenburg · Hybrid · Full-time
About Compary
What started as a hobby project between two friends, Andreas and David, during their studies has grown into an international affiliate marketing company operating on a global scale.
Today, Compary builds, runs and develops its own affiliate and comparison sites, mainly within personal finance and iGaming. From the beginning, the ambition has been to create useful digital products, learn by doing and build something that could grow beyond a side project. That entrepreneurial spirit is still an important part of who we are.
Around 25 people work across SEO, content, marketing, development, partnerships, finance and operations. Our office is by Stenpiren in central Gothenburg, overlooking Göta älv.
The culture is entrepreneurial and collaborative. We share ideas, work closely together and have short decision paths that make it easy to take initiative.
About the role
You will join our six-person iGaming team, working with affiliate sites across sports betting and gambling in several international markets.
The UK is our largest market, with BettingLounge.co.uk as the biggest site in the portfolio. Ireland and Sweden are also growing quickly.
Your work will cover SEO, content, website management and analysis. You will help improve existing sites, explore new opportunities and contribute to projects involving new content, sites and markets.
You will work with an experienced team with knowledge across SEO, content, analytics and affiliate marketing. There is close collaboration, space to ask questions and plenty of opportunity to contribute your own ideas. As you develop, there is room to take on more responsibility.
What you will do
Your work will include:
- Finding keyword opportunities and content gaps across our sites.
- Improving existing pages, content structures and internal linking.
- Creating content briefs, coordinating freelance writers and reviewing their work.
- Publishing and updating content, keeping it accurate, relevant and useful.
- Following rankings, traffic, conversions and commercial performance to understand what to improve.
- Testing changes to content and websites, then evaluating the results.
- Contributing to projects involving new sites, markets and ways of working.
The role combines hands-on content work with analysis and continuous improvement. You will have a clear connection between the changes you make and how the sites perform.
Who we are looking for
You are driven, curious and open-minded, with a clear interest in digital marketing. You enjoy understanding how things work, take initiative and like working with others to solve problems.
We do not expect you to have experience in every area from day one. Your background could be in SEO, content, affiliate marketing, analytics or website management. You could also be earlier in your career and have explored these areas through studies, work or your own projects.
Perhaps you have built a website, produced content, tested affiliate marketing or used data to improve a digital project. These are examples of relevant experience; we are interested in different backgrounds and ways into the role.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience or a strong interest in digital marketing, SEO, content or affiliate marketing.
- The ability to work independently, take initiative and follow tasks through.
- A structured and analytical approach to understanding performance and identifying improvements.
- An interest in websites, search engines, content and how digital products grow.
- Fluent written and spoken English, as much of the work involves English-language content and international markets.
Experience with iGaming/Sports Betting, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush is a plus. Native-level English is also a strong plus.
What matters most is that you are willing to learn, take responsibility and contribute to the team.
