About The JobAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager Purchasing - Finance to join Jumeirah Muscat Bay.
The Main Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role Are
- * Manage the hotel’s purchasing activities, ensuring all departments receive the goods, equipment, and services required on time, within budget, and in line with Jumeirah’s quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers by comparing product quality, pricing, availability, and service reliability, while maintaining strong relationships with approved vendors.
- Negotiate competitive prices, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve best value while maintaining the quality and consistency required for luxury hotel operations.
- Review purchase requisitions and oversee purchase orders, ensuring compliance with approved budgets, authorisation requirements, procurement policies, and internal control procedures.
- Work closely with departmental leaders, Finance, Receiving, and Stores to plan purchasing requirements, resolve delivery or quality issues, and monitor supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, analyse purchasing costs and market trends, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation through alternative sourcing and improved purchasing practices.
About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Manager, preferably within luxury hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory management, and purchasing systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with knowledge of the local supplier market.
