Reports to: Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research
Purpose:
This position will focus on creating new links with international partners to expand opportunities for incoming students and faculty at The American University in Cairo (AUC). This involves designing and implementing specific programs and activities in collaboration with relevant AUC and school counterparts to enhance the experience for incoming individuals. Additionally, efforts are directed towards identifying and cultivating new areas for collaboration with all partners, fostering broader engagement. To elevate the school's global presence, strategies include engaging with international organizations and hosting major international events. Furthermore, managing the development of creative activities aims to increase the international exposure of students within the school of business.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the internal process for partnerships and agreements
- Manage records of academic partnership agreements
- Represent the school with international consortia as the focal point from the school
- Analyze statistical analysis and trends regarding internationalization, including number of non-national faculty, number of international degree-seeking students, number of inbound international study aboard students, number of outgoing students on exchange, and number of students participating in international competitions, on a periodic basis and disseminate it among different constituencies
- Identify and pursue different opportunities for student and faculty international activities and travel opportunities such as events for international students and international competitions events
- Orchestrate all international activities of the school
- Develop a comprehensive database of faculty international mobility
- Oversee the development of relevant communication materials and social media content
- Manage School memberships in international associations
- Identify new partners for executive education
- Evaluate and strengthen relationship with current partners
- Lead and integrate the school’s international programs, activities and new initiatives and ensure alignment of all international activities, programs with the internationalization strategies of the school and of AUC
- Serve as the primary liaison with AUC’s relevant central offices such as IPO, Students’ Life, Registrar, ALID and others
- Launch and manage new international programs
- Manage and supervise international events to strengthen the school’s position internationally
- Maintain and update records of academic partnership agreements
- Analyze trends regarding internationalization and make the necessary recommendations for the school strategy
- Strengthen school offerings and its position among top international schools
- Lead, mentor, and manage the staff in the office
Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field is required
- Master’s degree is preferrable
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with three years in a relevant field
