We are looking for a business-minded and commercially focused Legal Counsel to work closely with its operational teams across its railway and metro activities, from tender stage through project delivery.
The Legal Counsel will help teams identify risks and opportunities, negotiate balanced contractual positions and develop practical solutions that support successful project delivery, while protecting Company's interests.
The Legal Counsel will be fully integrated into the local management and operational teams, working under the supervision of the Country Director while reporting functionally to the International Legal Manager and the Legal Department at the HQ.
Key responsibilities will include:

Draft, review and negotiate the full range of contracts required for project delivery, including supply agreements, subcontracts, consultancy agreements and service agreements, working closely with Contract Management, purchasing, technical and financial teams;

Working alongside project teams during execution to resolve contractual issues and keep projects moving;

Work closely with Contract Management, operational teams and the Legal Department to assess disputes and claims at an early stage and define the most appropriate commercial and legal strategy;

Act as a trusted legal business partner to the Country Director and operational teams, providing practical day-to-day advice across relevant areas of Egyptian law;

Supporting HR in employment and labour related matters (if required);

Coordinate the local implementation of the Group's Ethics and Compliance programme, working with the relevant Group functions.

Manage the insurance topics and the corporate formalities of the Egyptian entity in coordination with the corporate team based in France;
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who combines strong legal expertise with commercial awareness and a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
Ideally, you will have:

A bachelor’s degree in law, a master’s degree would be a plus

6–8 years of relevant legal experience (ideally, 4–6 years of experience within the construction, infrastructure or industrial sector)

Strong exposure to commercial contracts, projects and the ability to work confidently with operational and management teams in an international environment

Fluency in Arabic and English, French language skills would be an additional asset
