OverviewUniversity of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was officially established by the Amiri Decision No. 13 of 2022, and it is the first national university specializing in academic, applied, technical, and professional education in the State of Qatar. The College of General Education invites applications for a faculty position as Lecturer in Mathematics/ Physics.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of the Department, you will plan and deliver first-year courses in Mathematics and Physics such as Algebra and Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Numerical Problem Solving , General Physics, Introductory Physics , as well as specific higher level Physics courses to support the academic programs of the University. You will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. You will keep course portfolio documents required for program review and accreditation processes and engage in instructional development as well as new program development. In the framework of cross-college collaboration initiatives, you will participate in some development projects within the specified program area.
Qualifications Education and Experience RequirementsFaculty members will be placed in the appropriate rank based on their education and experience. The broad criteria are noted below.
A Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics or Physics or a related applied field, from a recognized institution.
Experience
- * of three (3) years full-time teaching experience in upper secondary, post-secondary, or higher education institution.
- A mix of academic and professional experience is welcome.
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of educational technology and platforms.
- Demonstrated academic and information literacy skills.
Language
- * Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language is required.

- Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in program outcomes.
