Purpose of the job:
To analyse, design, develop and implement Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration applications for internal company use and for clients. The role ensures reliable data integration and transformation across business applications.
Qualification/Capabilities:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
Skills/Attributes:
Coding and debugging in multiple programming languages, data integration and transformation, database connectivity, configuration and optimization, problem solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to deliver on schedule.
Required Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- At least 1 year of experience developing Java applications.
- Experience designing database schemas and building high-performing stored procedures, views and functions in SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience transforming XML and flat files (CSV, Fixed-Width, EDI).
- Understanding of Web Services concepts, protocols and security standards.
- Knowledge of Java Groovy is an advantage.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver projects.
- Deliver working, tested, high-quality software on schedule.
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) for existing and new applications.
- Maintain and support all existing applications.
- Optimize database queries to get the best execution plans.
- Perform unit tests and fix bugs.
- Provide training to end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
