Role Description The IAM and Cyber Security Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management (IAM) solutions across applications, systems, and networks. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring security events, performing vulnerability assessments, managing access controls, and supporting secure configurations for applications and infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with project teams to integrate security requirements into telecommunication, electronic security, and IT solutions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant standards. The role also involves documenting security procedures, collaborating with stakeholders on incident response, and providing technical guidance on cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong Cybersecurity and Information Security skills, including knowledge of security frameworks, policies, and risk management practices.
- Candidates should possess Application Security skills, including secure development principles, authentication and authorization mechanisms, and protection of web and enterprise applications.
- Candidates should possess Network Security skills, including firewall configuration, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network design.
- Candidates should possess Vulnerability Assessment skills, including the use of scanning tools, analysis of findings, and remediation planning.
- Experience with IAM technologies (e.g., SSO, MFA, identity lifecycle management, role-based access control) is highly beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar security credentials are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and on complex projects.
