Purpose of the Job
The Finance Global Process Owner - Purchase to Pay Global Process Owner (GPO) is responsible for overseeing the entire purchase-to-pay process on a global scale, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations across multiple regions. This role involves managing accounts payable, vendor management, and payment processing while driving continuous improvements, ensuring compliance with international financial regulations, and enhancing overall entity value
Job Description
- * Lead and manage the global Purchase to Pay (P2P) Shared Service Centre team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance across different regions
- Oversee the end-to-end P2P process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor management, ensuring consistency and efficiency worldwide for $2Bn+ of direct and indirect purchases
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow, reduce days payable outstanding (DPO), and drive additional value for the entity
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments in compliance with local and international regulations
- Monitor and manage global accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong vendor relationships across regions
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other departments globally to resolve payment and vendor issues
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and stakeholders in various regions
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and international regulations
- Prepare and present regular reports on global P2P performance to senior management, highlighting areas of value creation
- Responsible for P2P month-end closing responsibilities globally
- Lead transformation activity and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the global P2P process, contributing to the overall value of the entity
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) by region
- Percentage of overdue payables by region
- Payment accuracy and timeliness across regions
- Reduction in late payment penalties globally
- Vendor satisfaction scores related to payment processes in different regions
- Continuous improvement metrics (e.g., reduction in processing time, error rates) globally
- Value-added initiatives and their impact on the entity’s financial performance

Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline; Master’s degree preferred to demonstrate advanced expertise.
- Relevant professional credentials such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CIMA to validate proficiency and commitment to the finance profession.
- At least 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles with a strong focus on the purchase-to-pay domain, showcasing deep operational knowledge.
- Proven track record of leadership in finance functions, particularly within multinational organizations managing worldwide teams or processes.
- Hands-on experience with leading ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, including familiarity with modern workflow automation and financial technology tools.
- Documented success in spearheading finance transformation, elevating process efficiencies, and managing extensive shared services centers or global finance operations.
