Role Description
A Finance Director leads the organization’s financial strategy, planning, reporting, budgeting, risk management, and financial operations while ensuring strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- * Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial management.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, and financial control functions.
- Monitor company financial performance, profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and management updates.
- Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, and periodic reforecasting processes.
- Monitor revenue, costs, expenses, margins, and financial performance against budgets.
- Develop and maintain effective financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
- Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury activities.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, financial institutions, investors, and external advisors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Identify financial, operational, liquidity, and commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Lead financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Support investment decisions, business expansion, cost optimization, and commercial planning.
- Oversee financial systems, ERP platforms, reporting tools, and finance-related technology initiatives.
- Monitor financial KPIs and develop dashboards, reports, and performance analysis for management.
- Lead, manage, and develop finance and accounting teams.
- Drive process improvement, cost control, financial efficiency, and continuous improvement across finance operations.
- Support senior management and the executive team with financial insights and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Professional accounting or finance qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is advantageous.
* Extensive experience in finance, accounting, financial management, or corporate finance.
* Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
* Experience managing finance teams, budgets, cash flow, banking relationships, and financial operations.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with ERP, SAP, Oracle, financial management, accounting, or business intelligence systems*.
* Strong analytical, financial, commercial, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Strong understanding of cash flow management, working capital, cost control, and profitability analysis.
* Knowledge of financial risk management, corporate governance, and internal controls.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, deadlines, and complex financial matters.
* Strong commercial awareness and strategic decision-making abilities.
* UAE/GCC finance, accounting, taxation, or corporate finance experience is advantageous.
