We’re partnering with a fast-growing, bootstrapped DTC business to hire a Creative Strategist who genuinely understands performance creative.
This isn’t a traditional brand creative role.
You’ll be responsible for turning customer insight + ad account data into concepts, hooks and scripts that sell working closely with media buyers, creators and editors to continually test, learn and iterate.
The business is scaling heavily through paid social, so we’re looking for someone who sees the ad account as the scoreboard.
What you’ll be doing
• Producing 30+ scripts per week across new concepts and iterations
• Analysing creative performance and understanding why ads win or lose
• Developing new hooks, angles, mechanisms and offers
• Taking winning concepts and systematically iterating them
• Mining competitors, reviews, comments and customer feedback for new ideas
• Writing primarily for short-form paid social / UGC creative
• Briefing creators and editors and giving performance-focused feedback
• Working alongside the Media Buyer to turn data into the next round of creative
• Staying obsessively up to date with what’s working across DTC, Meta and TikTok
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have:
✅ Strong direct-response DTC / eCommerce experience
✅ Creative that has operated behind $100k+ monthly ad spend — ideally significantly more
✅ Experience producing creative at high volume
✅ Strong understanding of paid-social metrics such as CTR, CPA, CVR, hook rate and hold rate
✅ A track record of developing and iterating winning creative concepts
✅ Strong copywriting and scripting ability
✅ Experience working with Meta and/or TikTok creative
✅ The ability to look at performance data and form your own view on what should be tested next
Experience across supplements, personal care, wellness, men's products or other categories with advertising/compliance restrictions would be a strong advantage.

This probably isn’t right for someone coming from traditional brand creative where success is primarily measured by how polished something looks.

🌍 Location: Remote / worldwide
🕐 You’ll need approximately 4–5 hours overlap with US East Coast working hours
A portfolio of direct-response creative is required. Bonus points if you can show the spend/performance behind your work and explain what you personally owned.
