Role Overview
As a Contract Specialist, you will support the management of client contracts across projects and accounts, partnering with business, commercial and delivery teams to help manage contractual obligations, commercial risks and client requirements.
The role is client-facing and requires the ability to build trusted relationships with client counterparts while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across different teams and geographies. This positioning is consistent with Accenture’s internal Contract Specialist profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Support contract management activities across multiple projects, accounts and geographies, working closely with account, delivery, commercial and business stakeholders.
- Support the day-to-day management of client contracts and help teams understand contractual commitments, commercial considerations and delivery requirements.
- Identify, document and escalate contractual and commercial risks and issues, working with Contract Management and project leadership toward effective resolution.
- Support pre-award and sales activities, including deal-shaping discussions, responses to client requirements, contract schedules and contractual documentation.
- Assist with the drafting and review of contractual documents, including Statements of Work, Change Requests, amendments, subcontracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements, as applicable.
- Collaborate across internal functions to support effective contract execution and compliance with relevant processes and requirements.
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with client counterparts and internal stakeholders, contributing to effective commercial and contract management outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes, efficiency and ways of working.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in contract management, commercial management, contracting or a closely related discipline.
- Professional fluency in French and English, with the ability to operate confidently in a business and client-facing environment.
- Good understanding of commercial contracting principles, contractual terms and conditions, and subcontracting practices.
- Experience supporting the drafting, review and management of commercial agreements and contractual documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different organizational levels and geographies.
- Ability to identify contractual risks, communicate issues clearly and work collaboratively toward resolution.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and commercial awareness.
Preferred Qualifications- Membership of World Commerce & Contracting or the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), or another relevant contract/commercial management certification, is considered an advantage.
- Experience working within a multinational, consulting, technology or professional services environment is desirable.
- Exposure to complex client contracts and multi-country or cross-functional environments is advantageous.
