We're supporting a senior powertrain R&D engagement for a major automotive organisation in Gothenburg and are now looking for an experienced Calibration Leader to take ownership of technical project delivery across ongoing and upcoming powertrain development programmes.
The organisation develops advanced powertrain technologies for global automotive applications, with engineering activities spanning combustion and hybrid propulsion systems, controls, diagnostics, emissions, performance and software development.
This is a technical leadership role combining powertrain calibration expertise with project management and cross-functional engineering coordination. The successful engineer will lead projects typically running from several months through to approximately one year, taking responsibility for planning, prioritisation, technical progress and delivery.
The role is expected to be predominantly focused on technical leadership, project coordination and stakeholder management, whilst retaining sufficient hands-on technical involvement to support engineering teams when required.
You will work across internal engineering functions and external customer stakeholders, coordinating activities within controls, diagnostics, OBD, emissions, performance and powertrain attributes. The position will also involve project reporting, customer discussions and presentations, resource planning and budget follow-up.
You will be required to work predominantly on-site at the client's R&D facilities in Gothenburg, Sweden.

- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink within an automotive or powertrain development environment
- Experience coordinating technical stakeholders and presenting engineering/project progress internally and to customers
- Ability to combine technical engineering knowledge with responsibility for project delivery, resources and priorities
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of OBD and automotive diagnostics
- Experience within emissions development, calibration and regulatory compliance
