Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Giza for a Technical Office Engineer. The Technical Office Engineer will be responsible for preparing shop drawings, managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and conducting quantity surveying. The role also involves coordinating civil and electrical engineering tasks, ensuring project specifications are met, and liaising with project stakeholders.
Qualifications
1. Lead the architectural technical office team and ensure accurate, coordinated, and timely technical deliverables.
2. Supervise the preparation, review, and submission of architectural shop drawings and construction details.
3. Coordinate architectural works with MEP, structural, interior design, landscape, and other disciplines.
4. Prepare and follow up RFIs, technical clarifications, and consultant responses.
5. Review and coordinate architectural material submittals, samples, and technical data.
6. Review quantities, BOQ items, material requirements, and potential variations.
7. Provide technical support and practical solutions to site teams during construction and finishing works.
8. Review designs for constructability, technical compatibility, and proper site execution.
9. Review architectural details for ceilings, flooring, walls, joinery, glass, metal, stone, doors, and finishing works.
10. Review subcontractor drawings, technical submissions, and execution requirements.
11. Manage architects and draftsmen, distribute tasks, review outputs, and monitor team performance.
12. Track shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, approvals, and technical deadlines.
13. Ensure the team works with the latest approved drawings, revisions, and project documents.
14. Supervise the preparation and review of architectural as-built drawings.
15. Ensure technical documents comply with project specifications, approved designs, and company standards.
16. Coordinate with Procurement regarding specifications, quantities, materials, and supplier technical clarifications.
17. Coordinate with consultants and clients regarding approvals, comments, and technical decisions.
18. Identify technical issues early and provide solutions to reduce delays and site rework.
19. Prepare technical progress updates and highlight pending approvals and critical issues.
20. Maintain strong knowledge of architectural detailing, finishing materials, construction methods, and coordination requirements.
