Role Description The Accountant role at Asmara Sourcing Limited EG is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining general ledger entries. The role involves preparing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations. The Accountant will also monitor cost structures, support inventory and production-related accounting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial data for decision-making. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and a strong commitment to financial integrity.
Qualifications
- Egyptians only.
- 5-10 yrs work experience.
- English speaking is a MUST.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis, preferably within manufacturing or apparel sectors.
- Understanding of local & international tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes in Egypt.
- International tariffs and agreements between countries.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with finance and non-finance teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet strict deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting role within a production or sourcing environment is preferred.
