We are looking for an experienced Urban Designer to join our Engineering & Technical team in Riyadh.
The role requires a strong combination of architectural design, urban design and public realm experience, with the ability to coordinate designs across multiple disciplines and support projects from design review through construction and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate architectural and urban design packages, drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
- Review site planning, building orientation and the relationship between buildings, streets, open spaces and the public realm.
- Coordinate external levels, pathways, roads, drainage, hardscape and landscape interfaces.
- Review pedestrian circulation, accessibility, arrival points, wayfinding and signage.
- Coordinate architectural works with landscape, infrastructure, civil, structural, MEP and other disciplines.
- Review BIM models, shop drawings, materials, samples and mock-ups.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, authority requirements, fire & life safety and accessibility standards.
- Provide architectural and urban design support during construction, site inspections, snagging and final handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- 7–10 years of relevant architectural experience.
- Proven experience in major public realm, mixed-use, infrastructure or urban development projects.
- Experience covering design review, technical coordination and construction support.
- GCC experience and familiarity with local codes and climatic conditions are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with Navisworks, SketchUp or Rhino is an advantage.
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
