Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Office Architect to serve as the critical link between our design concepts and on-site construction. In this role, you will be responsible for translating architectural and interior designs into comprehensive, executable shop drawings, managing project documentation, and ensuring that all finishing and structural elements align with TRIO’s rigorous quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop Drawings & Detailing: Produce accurate, clash-free architectural and interior shop drawings, including detailed plans, elevations, and intricate finishing details for high-end turnkey projects.
- Documentation & BOQ: Prepare, review, and update Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material specifications, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project budgets and design intent.
- Cross-Discipline Coordination: Actively coordinate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and structural teams to resolve design clashes before site execution.
- Site Support: Liaise directly with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to clarify design details, respond to RFIs (Requests for Information), and adjust drawings based on actual site conditions.
- As-Built Drawings: Track site modifications throughout the project lifecycle and deliver final, accurate as-built drawings upon project handover.
- Vendor & Material Management: Assist in evaluating supplier and subcontractor technical proposals to ensure proposed materials meet the specified quality and design criteria.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for BOQs). Familiarity with SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Navisworks is a strong advantage.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of local building codes, finishing materials, custom joinery, and modern construction methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple project timelines simultaneously. Strong communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
