Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo for a Solar Photovoltaic Engineer. The Solar Photovoltaic Engineer will design, analyze, and optimize on-grid solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include site assessments, load and energy production calculations, system sizing, preparation of single-line diagrams, and coordination of electrical and structural designs. The role involves preparing technical proposals, reviewing vendor specifications, supporting installation teams, and ensuring compliance with local codes, safety standards, and industry best practices. The engineer will collaborate with project managers and technicians to oversee commissioning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting of installed systems.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of the Solar Industry and practical experience with Solar Power applications.
* Hands-on expertise in Solar Systems, including system sizing, component selection, and performance evaluation.
* Proficiency in PV Design and related software tools for layout, shading analysis, and energy yield estimation.
* Solid background in Electrical Design, including wiring diagrams, protection schemes, and grid interconnection requirements.
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for grid-connected solar installations.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, prepare documentation, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
* Experience in project coordination, site supervision, and quality assurance for solar projects is an advantage.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
