Job DescriptionROLE PURPOSE
To support and execute the hotel's PR and communications strategy, strengthening the visibility and positioning of Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain across Bahrain and the GCC. The role will manage day-to-day media relations, influencer engagement, partnerships, press communications and PR activations across the hotel, F&B, Spa & Wellness and key experiences, working closely with the Marketing Manager and Commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- * Manage day-to-day PR and communications activities across the hotel and its outlets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, editors, journalists, influencers, content creators and relevant personalities in Bahrain and the GCC.
- Proactively identify PR opportunities, partnerships, collaborations and relevant cultural or community activations that strengthen the hotel's positioning.
- Develop and maintain an updated Bahrain and GCC media and influencer database.
- Draft and coordinate press releases, media alerts, invitations, fact sheets and other PR materials in line with Raffles brand standards.
- Coordinate media visits, influencer stays, interviews, photoshoots and hosted experiences, including agreed deliverables and follow-up.
- Support PR activity for hotel experiences, restaurants, Spa & Wellness, events, seasonal campaigns and new launches.
- Build relationships with relevant luxury, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, automotive and other brands to develop meaningful collaboration opportunities.
- Support the planning and execution of media events, launches and PR activations.
- Proactively pitch hotel stories, experiences and key personalities to relevant local, regional and international media.
- Coordinate award submissions and luxury hospitality recognitions relevant to the hotel, F&B and Spa.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare regular PR reports covering coverage, reach, media value, influencer activity and key outcomes.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align PR activity with the content calendar, social media, campaigns and commercial priorities.
- Liaise with corporate and regional PR teams as required and ensure communications follow Raffles and Accor brand guidelines.
- Monitor hospitality, luxury and lifestyle trends and identify opportunities to keep the hotel visible, relevant and competitive.
Qualifications
- * 3-5 years of experience in PR, communications or luxury lifestyle/hospitality.
- Previous experience within luxury hospitality, lifestyle, F&B or a reputable PR agency is preferred.
- Strong existing relationships with Bahrain media, influencers, brands and key personalities; a GCC network is a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of the Bahrain and GCC luxury, hospitality and lifestyle landscape.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Confident in developing press materials and communicating with senior media and external partners.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and activations simultaneously.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to identify PR opportunities rather than relying solely on incoming requests.
- Comfortable representing Raffles externally at media events, networking opportunities and industry activations.
- Good understanding of social media and influencer marketing from a PR and brand reputation perspective.
