We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, Exadata, GoldenGate (OGG), Engineered Systems, and Linux/Unix environments.
The DBA will be responsible for database availability, performance, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, migrations, upgrades, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle databases and related application/database tools.
- Monitor database health, performance, capacity, availability, and security.
- Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, Exadata, GoldenGate (OGG), and Engineered Systems.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and schema refinement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real time, including critical production incidents.
- Perform database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability activities.
- Support database migration, cloning, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with application developers on SQL/query tuning and database design.
- Automate routine DBA processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation, issue logs, change records, and operational procedures.
- Support application releases, deployments, scheduled maintenance, and production changes outside normal working hours when required.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production database environments.
- Recommend technical solutions and improvements for database reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
Preferred
- Oracle DBA certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are an advantage.
- Experience in enterprise-scale or mission-critical database environments.
- Experience with database automation and scripting.
