Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (French speaker) is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm 1st 6 October. This role is responsible for leading mechanical and machine design projects from concept to production, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, and detailed design. Daily tasks include developing and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing engineering calculations, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate with French-speaking stakeholders, support prototyping and testing, and provide design modifications based on test results and feedback. Additional responsibilities include maintaining design documentation, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong expertise in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to lead complex mechanical projects.
* Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design, including mechanical components and assemblies for industrial or product applications.
* Candidates should possess skills in Product Design, covering concept development, functional design, and integration of customer and regulatory requirements.
* Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, including 3D modeling and 2D drafting for production-ready documentation.
* Professional-level French language skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to French-speaking stakeholders.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Several years of experience in mechanical design engineering, ideally in a senior or lead role.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with relevant standards and manufacturing processes.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
