Job Purpose
Lead the end-to-end logistics function, ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective warehousing, shipping, transportation, customs clearance, import/export, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead warehouse, transportation, shipping, clearance, import/export, and distribution operations.
- Ensure timely and compliant domestic and international shipments, including appropriate handling and storage conditions.
- Manage customs clearance, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PL providers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GDP, GMP, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Commercial teams.
- Manage logistics budgets and drive cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Lead logistics process improvements, systems, and business continuity initiatives.
- Lead, develop, and manage the logistics team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 - 15 years of logistics and supply chain experience, including senior management experience.
- Strong experience in warehouse management, shipping, transportation, customs clearance, import/export, and distribution.
- Experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics teams.
- Pharmaceutical or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of GDP/GMP and international shipping requirements.
- ERP/WMS/TMS experience; SAP is an advantage.
