Product: iReveal (mobile and web application)
Reports to: The Managing Directors, KCG
Location: Remote
Employment type: Part-time, monthly retainer with on-call availability
Estimated workload: Approximately 12 to 16 hours per month on average
Compensation: Competitive monthly retainer, to be discussed with shortlisted candidates
POSITION SUMMARY
Khalifeh Consulting Group (KCG) is seeking a senior engineer to provide ongoing technical support for iReveal, its risk-intelligence application. iReveal allows users to screen individuals and companies for sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP) status, adverse media and country risk, and produces a risk score, an AI-generated summary and a branded, timestamped PDF report. The application is live on the App Store and Google Play.
The successful candidate will act as the technical owner of the product in production: monitoring its health, resolving incidents promptly and releasing fixes and updates as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor the production environment on Firebase (Cloud Functions, Firestore, Authentication, Secret Manager, billing and logs) and carry out a weekly health check.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, determining whether an issue originates in the application, the backend, billing or configuration.
• Fix defects across the iOS, Android and web applications and submit hotfix releases through App Store Connect, TestFlight and Google Play Console.
• Keep the application compliant with App Store and Google Play requirements, including SDK and build-tool updates and review policies.
• Maintain the application’s integrations: in-app purchases and credits, push notifications, AI services and third-party screening data APIs.
• Use AI-assisted development tools on the live codebase as standard practice for diagnosis and maintenance.
• Provide the Managing Directors with concise updates on incidents, actions taken and decisions required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Several years of professional Flutter development, with production releases on iOS, Android and web.
• Proven experience operating Firebase in production, including handling live incidents.
• Hands-on experience with App Store Connect, TestFlight and Google Play Console, including release submissions.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise under pressure and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with RevenueCat or comparable subscription and in-app purchase platforms.
• Experience with compliance, KYC or AML data APIs.
• Arabic and right-to-left (RTL) interface experience.
• Experience integrating OpenAI or similar language-model services.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
• Availability for urgent issues (login, screening or payments unavailable), including weekends, within agreed response times. Lower-priority issues are handled by the next business day.
• New features and larger pieces of work are scoped and billed separately from the retainer.
• KCG retains ownership of all accounts (Apple, Google, Firebase billing and data providers). The engineer is given the access required to perform the role.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send your CV, links to applications you have shipped (if public) and a brief description of a production incident you resolved (what failed, how you identified the cause and how long it took) to [email protected].
KCG is an equal opportunity employer. Terms of engagement will be confirmed in writing.
