Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government entities, strategic partners, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, client requirements, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and business development targets.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and regularly report opportunity status, potential value, and probability of conversion.
- Lead client engagements, presentations, clarification meetings, and commercial negotiations as required.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective transition of awarded opportunities into project execution.
Bids & Proposals
- Lead the end-to-end bid management process, from opportunity identification and qualification through submission and award.
- Review tender documents, RFPs, RFQs, and related requirements to determine scope, commercial considerations, risks, and compliance requirements.
- Establish bid strategies, timelines, responsibilities, and governance for each opportunity.
- Coordinate with technical, commercial, finance, legal, procurement, and operations teams to develop integrated proposals.
- Ensure proposals are compliant, competitive, commercially viable, and submitted within required deadlines.
- Review pricing, cost assumptions, commercial terms, contractual requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Manage clarification responses, negotiations, best-and-final offers, and post-submission activities.
- Maintain a structured database of bids, proposals, pricing information, lessons learned, and historical submissions.
- Conduct post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future win strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Professional qualifications in sales, business development, project management, or commercial management are advantageous.
Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, bids, tenders, proposals, or commercial management.
- Proven experience managing complex bids and proposals from opportunity identification through submission and award.
- Experience working with government, semi-government, large corporate, or project-based organizations is preferred.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent opportunities.
- Strong understanding of commercial proposals, pricing, contracts, and tendering processes.
