We’re looking for a motivated and analytical Remote Junior Threat Detection Analyst to join our cybersecurity team.
In this role, you’ll help identify suspicious activity across systems and networks, review security alerts, and support the development of detection methods that help protect the organization from cyber threats. You’ll work alongside experienced security analysts and engineers to understand attack patterns and improve the organization’s ability to detect potential incidents.

Salary: AED 9,000–13,000 per month, depending on skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with reviewing security alerts and identifying potentially suspicious activity.
- Help analyze system, endpoint, and network logs.
- Support the investigation of unusual login attempts and unexpected system behavior.
- Assist with documenting detection findings and escalating potential incidents.
- Research common attack techniques and indicators of compromise.
- Help test and improve security detection rules under supervision.
- Support the analysis of false positives and recurring security alerts.
- Maintain documentation of detection procedures and investigation outcomes.
- Collaborate with security operations and incident response teams.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and defensive security techniques.
Candidate Requirements
- Genuine interest in cybersecurity, threat detection, and security monitoring.
- Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and common cyber threats.
- Familiarity with Windows or Linux fundamentals.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written communication and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn log analysis, security monitoring, and detection techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team.
- Commitment to confidentiality and responsible handling of security information.
The following are beneficial but not mandatory:
- A degree or diploma in IT, computer science, networking, or cybersecurity.
- Introductory knowledge of SIEM platforms and security event analysis.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK or common attack techniques.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Exposure to tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or Elastic Security.
- CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, or similar foundational training.
- Experience with cybersecurity labs, CTF exercises, or personal projects.
No previous professional cybersecurity experience is required. Applicants with relevant coursework, independent study, or transferable IT skills are welcome.
