Job Title: Public Relations Manager (Clinical Communications & Government Relations)

Job Purpose:
Supports the execution of PureHealth Group's public relations strategy by acting as the primary communications liaison between the Group Corporate Communications team, the clinical entities (SEHA, SEHA Clinics, Sakina and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City) and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH).
The role is responsible for identifying, developing and promoting clinical excellence stories, coordinating communications opportunities across the Group's healthcare facilities, and strengthening collaboration with DoH to amplify PureHealth's achievements. The position will contribute to increasing positive media coverage, enhancing stakeholder engagement and growing PureHealth's share of voice within Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary communications liaison between PureHealth Corporate Communications, the clinical entities (SEHA, SEHA Clinics, Sakina and SSMC) and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with communications teams, hospital leadership, clinicians and DoH stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and identify communications opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of newsworthy clinical stories, medical breakthroughs, research, innovation, patient success stories and service milestones across PureHealth's healthcare facilities.
- Coordinate with entity communications teams to proactively identify upcoming announcements and ensure alignment with Group communications priorities.
- Work closely with DoH to maximise opportunities for joint announcements, campaigns and media engagement that showcase PureHealth's contribution to healthcare excellence.
- Draft and review press releases, media materials, and other communications assets.
- Translate complex clinical and technical information into compelling content suitable for media, stakeholders and public audiences.
- Coordinate approvals and stakeholder alignment across multiple entities to ensure timely delivery of communications.
- Support high-profile healthcare announcements, media events and government engagement activities involving clinical entities.
- Monitor media coverage and analyse communications performance, providing regular reporting and recommendations to strengthen visibility and share of voice.
- Work collaboratively with internal communications, marketing, digital and brand teams to maximise integrated communications opportunities.
- Ensure all communications align with PureHealth's corporate messaging, brand standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Communications team with wider corporate and entity communications activities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing or related field. (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 9 years of experience in PR/Communications with a strong track record of driving results.
- Experience working with healthcare providers, government entities or highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and developing communications or executive and clinical audiences.
- Strong understanding of the UAE media landscape and healthcare sector.
- Knowledge of government communications and stakeholder engagement, particularly within Abu Dhabi.
- Experience developing press materials, media pitches and executive communications.
- Strong understanding of healthcare communications and the ability to translate complex clinical information into compelling stories.
- Experience working with monitoring and reporting tools to analyse PR performance.
