Role Objectives:
At Connect Money, we build the embedded finance platform that lets businesses launch their own financial services — cards, payments, lending — inside the digital channels and partner ecosystems their customers already use. As a Product Designer, you'll own design from discovery through delivery across two surfaces: the channels our clients and their customers use, and the managed-services applications their internal teams work in. You'll run the research, build the prototypes, define what success looks like for each feature and track it, and keep the experience coherent as the platform grows.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Strategy & Discovery
- Lead discovery — user research, journey mapping, and problem framing — across engagement channels and managed services applications.
- Identify reusable, platform-fit design patterns over bespoke, client-specific solutions.
- Facilitate discovery workshops with clients and stakeholders to align on journeys and success criteria.
Prototyping & Design Delivery
- Build wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to validate solutions before build commitment.
- Maintain a shared design system and component library across channels and managed services applications.
- Run usability testing and iterate designs based on user and client feedback.
Design-Centered Agile Delivery
- Own and prioritize a design-centered backlog — research findings, usability fixes, and design debt — alongside feature work.
- Run and participate in sprint ceremonies — refinement, planning, and review — representing the design perspective.
- Own design QA, validating delivered work against design specifications before release.
Success Metrics & Validation
- Define feature-level success metrics — usability, adoption, task completion, satisfaction — before development begins.
- Track metrics post-launch and translate findings into backlog priorities.
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Present prototypes, journeys, and design rationale to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support pre-sales and project initiation through rapid prototyping and solutioning.
Documentation & Lifecycle Management
- Maintain design specifications, redlines, and the design system for engineering handoff.
- Ensure accessibility and consistency standards across all channels and applications.
Required Education, Knowledge, And Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, Technology, Digital Media or a related discipline
- 5+ years as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, owning discovery-to-delivery design lifecycles.
- Proven experience designing across multiple engagement channels — web, mobile, conversational/WhatsApp, webview, and agent or back-office applications — within one platform.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end process: discovery, prototyping, usability testing, and delivery.
- Experience running or contributing to Agile sprints from a design perspective.
- Proficiency in prototyping and design system tooling (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD), collaboration tools (FigJam, Miro), and validation tools (Maze, UserTesting, Hotjar).
- Experience defining and tracking usability and adoption metrics using analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics).
- Experience with Agile and backlog tooling such as Jira and Confluence, or equivalent.
- Preferred - Experience designing for FinTech, Banking, Embedded Finance, Digital Payments, Cards, Wallets, or Financial Services. • Preferred - Experience designing conversational and channel-constrained interfaces (WhatsApp Business, IVR, USSD) alongside web and mobile UI.
- Preferred - Experience designing managed services or back-office applications — agent tools, admin consoles, and operational dashboards.
- Preferred - Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Preferred having certification in UX/Design such as NN/g UX Certification or Google UX Design Certificate, or equivalent.
