Job Purpose:
Lead Procurement strategies and projects across the company in line with business needs. Manage JORAMCO procurement functions & processes of aircraft material, tooling, commercial material & services to support JORAMCO on time performance & operations for optimum efficiency and to the high quality and ethical standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop & implement procurement strategies, policies & procedures to meet the company objectives that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks.
- Analyze demand / forecast material requirement of various Departments. Streamline procurement and procedures for effective inventory control - slow, non-moving & obsolete material, for ensuring ready availability of materials to meet the production targets.
- Draft Request for Quotations (RFQ) or Request for Proposals (RFP) and adjust the requirements based on the nature of the procurement
- Ensure that all procurement is done efficiently according to JORAMCO Policy.
- Prepare a bid review/price analysis for each financial transaction
- Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Control the procurement budget and promote the culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Prepare procurement reports and dashboards such as accounts payable analysis, supplier analysis.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding price reductions, preferred payment, delivery terms, and shipping options when necessary
- Keep abreast of changing industry trends
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or any related field. MBA Highly preferred.
- Any accredited training or certificates such as PMP, Certified purchasing manager, certified supply chain professional is a plus.
- 10 – 12+ years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain with minimum 3 years of experience as a procurement manager, preferably in aerospace, aircraft industries.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent command in English language.
