We are looking for an experienced Civil Procurement Engineer to join our procurement team for the Taweelah Project in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring civil construction materials, equipment, and machinery while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to the project site.
Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end procurement of civil construction materials, machinery, and project requirements. * Source and evaluate reliable suppliers and subcontractors for construction materials and equipment. * Procure materials including: Cement, Aggregates, Reinforcement steel and structural steel, Concrete-related materials, Ceramic and finishing materials, Paints and coatings, Grouting materials, Waterproofing materials, Blocks, tiles, and other building materials * Coordinate procurement of construction machinery, tools, equipment, and related site requirements. * Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, material requirements, and project procurement schedules. * Prepare RFQs, obtain and compare supplier quotations, and conduct commercial evaluations. * Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers. * Coordinate with the Civil, Technical, QA/QC, HSE, and Project teams to ensure materials meet project specifications and standards. * Verify material quality, specifications, quantities, and compliance before purchase and delivery. * Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment* to the project site. * Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, supplier quotations, comparison sheets, and delivery documentation. * Develop and maintain a reliable supplier and vendor database. * Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving and alternative sourcing opportunities. * Coordinate with logistics and site teams regarding material transportation and delivery schedules. * Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, shortages, and discrepancies. * Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, project requirements, and approved budgets. * Support the Procurement Manager and Project Management team with procurement planning and reporting.
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline. * Minimum 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure within UAE. * Strong experience in procurement of civil construction materials and machinery. * Good knowledge of construction materials including cement, aggregates, steel, concrete materials, ceramics, paints, grouting materials, waterproofing materials, and other building materials. * Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, and purchase order management. * Good understanding of BOQs, technical specifications, material requirements, and construction processes. * Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and analytical skills. * Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. * UAE / GCC procurement experience is mandatory. * Candidates with experience in large-scale construction or power plant projects* will be preferred.
