Job DescriptionWe are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining precision machinery to fabricate, modify, and repair machine parts, equipment, and tools to close tolerances. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a safety-focused environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- * Set up and operate precision machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine machining requirements and procedures.
- Perform precise measurements and quality inspections using instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Cut, shape, and fabricate parts to meet specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance and safe operation.
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and enhance manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
Desired Education Requirements And Work Experience
- * Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience in manufacturing and production processes and techniques
- Knowledge of raw materials and quality control standards
- Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO standards)
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with process improvement methodologies is a plus
- Knowledge of machinery, tools, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with inspection/reporting software
Required Skills
- * Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or equivalent hands-on machining experience
- Strong understanding of machining principles, mathematics, and mechanical concepts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation accurately
- Excellent manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
