Power BI Platform Administrator
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Power BI Platform Administrator to manage, secure, monitor, and optimize the organization's Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Power BI tenant settings, workspaces, capacities, licensing, and deployment pipelines.
- Manage Power BI Premium/Fabric capacities, Pro licensing, and On-Premises Data Gateways.
- Implement Power BI governance, security, RLS/OLS, workspace permissions, and access reviews.
- Monitor platform health, capacity utilization, dataset refreshes, and performance.
- Troubleshoot gateway, connectivity, refresh, workspace, and report performance issues.
- Provide L2/L3 support to Power BI developers and business users.
- Maintain governance standards, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and documentation.
- Support releases, configuration changes, audits, compliance, backup/recovery, and business continuity.
- Coordinate with database, infrastructure, network, security, and application teams.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Premium.
- Knowledge of Power BI security, governance, RLS/OLS, and workspace management.
- Experience with On-Premises Data Gateway and data refresh troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Power BI capacity monitoring and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Power BI REST API, and PowerShell is an advantage.
